Air India’s New Bangalore Route from London Gatwick Set to Boost Travel
London Gatwick has introduced a new direct service to Bengaluru (Bangalore) with Air India, operating five times a week. This addition marks Bengaluru as Air India’s fifth destination from London Gatwick, complementing existing routes to Goa, Kochi, Ahmedabad, and Amritsar. The launch of this route provides passengers across London and the South East with a new Indian destination to explore this summer. Operating from the South Terminal, this service further strengthens London Gatwick’s connections to India.
With Air India’s new service and TUI’s existing flights to Goa, London Gatwick now offers 19 weekly flights between the airport and India. The airport is also committed to doubling its connectivity with India within the next five years, reflecting the strong economic and cultural ties between the two nations. Future priority routes include Delhi and Mumbai.
London Gatwick is also making significant investments in its future, with a planning application to bring the Northern Runway into regular use. This low-impact initiative, which is nearing the end of the Planning Inspectorate’s examination phase, aims to enhance resilience, reduce delays, and boost both the national and regional economy by supporting trade, tourism, and job creation.
