Vietnam's Quy Nhon and Pleiku Bet on Smart Cities to Drive Tourism to 2050
There are significant efforts to undergo a huge urban change in Quy Nhon and Pleiku cities as these cities continue their developmental agenda up to 2050. The strategic vision seeks to promote tourism, innovation, investment, and sustainable development by forming two strong urban hubs in the Gia Lai province. While Quy Nhon is expected to form an advanced smart coastal city, Pleiku is to be formed into an advanced gateway for highlands linking coastal areas, central highlands, and border economic routes.The approved master plans provide a foundation for future urban expansion, infrastructure development, tourism growth, investment attraction, and economic transformation. The strategy focuses on creating green, smart, climate-adaptive cities capable of responding to future social, technological, and environmental changes.
