Europe Celebrates Record Passenger Numbers in Croatia and Germany This Shoulder Season.

Summer may officially be over. Europe’s love for travel isn’t slowing down. This September millions of travelers skipped the crowded peak season. Chose late-season trips instead. They headed to Croatia, Germany and Greece for their escapes. Whether it was the Adriatic coast or the busy transit centers in the heart of Europe the data shows something new. Air travel records prove that autumn travel isn’t a quiet option anymore. It’s a movement. A travel revolution that’s pushing numbers higher than before, across Europe.

Croatia has cemented its status as a premier shoulder-season hotspot as commercial airports across the country welcomed 1,847,000 passengers in September, marking an impressive 6.1% increase compared to the previous year. This growth momentum was spearheaded by the Adriatic coastal hub of Split Airport, which ranked as the nation’s busiest terminal with 558,000 passengers, closely followed by Zagreb Airport and Dubrovnik Airport. The expansion of late-summer itineraries allows international visitors to explore historic coastal landscapes without the intense congestion of July and August. Consequently, local tourism economies are reaping sustained financial rewards well into the autumn months.
